Congrats Megan!

Congratulations to Megan Soultz, Depauw University, All American 3rd Team, 2007 NCAA Division III.

We're extremely PROUD of our TTL graduate, Megan Soultz who worked through several injuries to become one of the country's top 6 pitchers in Division III NCAA Softball. Megan took her team to the Nationals for the first time with a stellar .57 era. Our hats go off to Megan, her father Jeff and the entire Depauw University team!

For Fastpitch Head Coaches and Assistants at All Levels: College, High School and Travel Ball

Course 403
Position Play and Individual Defensive Skills

January 23 - 25, 2009 at the TTL Training Facility

This course emphasizes how to analyze and teach the skills required to play each of the nine softball positions. In addition, you will:

• study the mechanics of throwing, tossing and fielding
• examine the techniques used to cover bases, back up and check runners, retrieve balls and cut off throws
• identify and break down the skills required to play each defensive position
• analyze and correct typical errors in performance
• review and discuss situational game charts
• accumulate drills for the practice of position play skills

Instructors:

• John Tschida, head coach at University of St. Thomas
• Deb Hartwig, national clinician and owner/founder of Just Softball
• Deborah Pallozzi, head coach at Ithaca College

Whether you're a seasoned coach or relatively new to the fastpitch coaching ranks, here's your chance to learn the sport in a whole new way. With each course, the National Fastpitch Coaches' College takes one aspect of the game and thoroughly covers it in a classroom setting. Interaction with instructors and colleagues provides you the opportunity to learn the game's intricacies and empowers you to take your team to the next level.

Not only will you travel the road to your own self improvement, you'll also learn:

• how to teach, not just what to teach
• ways to connect with your athletes and get more out of them
• what it takes to develop the leader within you
• how to add more numbers to the win column through in-depth exploration of advanced tactics and strategies
• tips to prevent burnout and stay on a path to spirited coaching.

Class Time Schedule:

Friday Registration: 11 a.m. to Noon
Friday: Noon to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. to Noon

Course Costs:

NFCA Non-Member: $250
NFCA Member: $225
